One person doing something positive might not look like it’s going to make a difference. This is about what we can do if we join together to make a positive change.

Positive or negative? Depends how you look at things. It’s up to you to rearrange the letters into something positive or negative. The message is that you can find a way to change things for the better if you look at the world positively.

Designer:
Henry Saunderson
This is a positive message, and it’s said with a positive attitude. It doesn’t just say that tomorrow might be better. It says it will be better. It’s a call to action for people who see that it going to take some positive change to make it happen.

Phill Rees
Everyone starts off with hopes and aspirations and, for whatever reason, they can end up living on the streets. ‘Positive change’ asks people to think about how circumstances could have set them on a very different life path. That’s why we shouldn’t be too quick to judge.

Designers:
John Regan
& Leigh Chandler
People are bombarded with charity messages all the time. This isn’t just another one of those messages. It doesn’t tell you what to do, or tug at your heart strings. It just tells you how it is and asks you to make up your own mind. The small point size means you have to get up close and personal to read it – and that’s a positive message in itself.

Designers:
Michelle Banister
& Sarah Hindmarsh
A homing pigeon, like a homeless person, can only find its way home if it has a home to go to. And it’ll take positive change - a plus - to make it happen. Two minuses however always make a plus.

Thomas Hutchings
It’s a positive change message in code form. It’s like 1234567890, qwertyuiop, asdfghjkl or zxcvbnm. It says there are lots of different ways of making a positive change – choose the one that means something to you.

Paul Silcox
Urban landscapes and life can be bleak, hard and intimidating. It’s hard to see how something as soft as a gesture, or a positive attitude might make a difference. This message is meant to make people take notice and inspire them to bring some humanity into a dehumanized world.

Designer:
Jessica Chamberlain
A positive change can come from a simple gesture – something as everyday as human contact. That might be all it takes to change the way someone feels. And it’s so easy to do.

Designer:
Marie-Julie Trijasson
Maybe people can’t think of what positive change might be. Maybe they think it has to be something big and dramatic. The words and phrases in the design show how positive change can be found in the smallest things – a smile, a gesture, just thinking or acting with someone else in mind. Simple stuff that makes a difference.
